I That first image with the dark planter has a perfect combination of plants. Variegated plants is the key to a good mix.

I have to try new things each season, just to get a fresh look for us to enjoy. Never repeat except the herb planter tends to look similar each year. Once the pansies poop out (which is soon), I need to refresh all the concrete planters. Not sure what I will do yet. Loved the yellow lantana (rarely needed to be watered) from last year, may do the pink multicololored lantana mixed with a few other varieties. Or may not, will decide once I get inspired while plant shopping (our favorite activity!)Cindy @ a curious gardenerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10303756811551040856noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2859743855906273917.post-47848720187226562202013-05-29T10:56:11.452-06:002013-05-29T10:56:11.452-06:00Love this idea.... especially the herbs.... pretty...Love this idea.... especially the herbs.... pretty, useful and smell wonderful!
Crissy @ House of Marlowehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09890077806440478720noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2859743855906273917.post-18906463510768442892013-05-29T09:17:31.342-06:002013-05-29T09:17:31.342-06:00I could, since I have the 'black thumb' wh...I could, since I have the 'black thumb' when it comes to gardening, i NEED sturdy plants more. The colors and shapes of the leaves give us lots of planting options. Delicate flowers either get eaten by deer or rabbits .. or get pelted by rain.
